Are you actually "Fine"?

Breathe: Just You, the Breath, and the Breakthrough

April 12, 2026

Hello Friends,

I hope you all had an amazing Easter & that you were able to take a moment to breathe.

Some thoughts for you ahead of the Episode 5 release this Tuesday. How often do we find ourselves responding with a quick, "I’m fine," when someone asks how we are? We say it to move the conversation along, to avoid being a "burden," or perhaps because we haven't yet found the words for the complexity of what we’re actually carrying.

But lately, I’ve been sitting with a different perspective: "Fine" is often a mask. When we settle for "fine," we aren't just protecting others from our reality - we are often disconnecting from our own truth. We carry the weight of that unspoken "not fine" in our shoulders, our breath, and our spirit.

A Moment to Pause:

Let’s take a second together.

Wherever you are, soften your shoulders away from your ears. Unclench your jaw. Take a deep, slow breath in through your nose, feeling your ribs expand. Hold it for just a beat and then let it out through your mouth with a long, steady sigh.

Notice how it feels to give yourself permission to be exactly as you are, even for just thirty seconds.

In this Tuesday’s upcoming episode of the podcast, I’m diving deep into why we settle for "fine" and what it costs us.

We'll explore:

The "Auto-Pilot" Response: Why "fine" is our default setting even when we are struggling.

The Cost of Minimalizing: How downplaying our needs creates a slow-burning internal fatigue.

The freedom that comes when our external actions finally match our internal boundaries.

Mark your calendars: New episodes of Breathe: Just You, the Breath, and the Breakthrough drop every Tuesday.

I spent years thinking that "strength" meant being unshakable and building walls to stay safe. What I found instead was that true resilience doesn’t come from being rigid - it comes from being solid enough to finally stop holding your breath. Finding that calm within the chaos is exactly what I’m here to help you do. Whether we are meeting on the mat or through the deep conversations of my podcast, my goal is simple: to create a sanctuary where you can move with the storm, rather than against it. Breathe: Just You, the Breath, and the Breakthrough April 5, 2026 Hello Friend, Life has a funny way of asking us to check our alignment just when we think we’ve found our rhythm. Maybe you had a project, a habit, or even an event on the calendar that felt right a month ago, but today? Today, it feels like a heavy coat you’re ready to take off. Lately, I’ve been thinking about the space that opens up when we stop forcing things that no longer serve the current season. It’s not about quitting;...

Breathe: Just You, the Breath, and the Breakthrough Mar. 29, 2026 Hello Friend, We are officially moving into the rhythm of this journey together. Whether you’ve been practicing with me for years or just joined the community through the podcast launch, I am so grateful you’re here. As we prepare for our next episode this Tuesday, I’ve been thinking a lot about the space between the inhale and the exhale. That tiny, quiet moment of suspension is where the magic happens—it’s where we stop doing...

Breathe: Just You, the Breath, and the Breakthrough Mar. 22, 2026 Hi Friend, Have you ever noticed how, right about now, your shoulders start inching toward your ears? Even when we’re "relaxing" on a Sunday evening, our bodies are often busy historians. They are storing every "I should have done more this weekend," every "I should be further along," and every "I should be better at this." We don't just think these thoughts; we wear them like heavy stones in a backpack we never take off. We...
