Are you abandoning yourself to make a decision?

Breathe: Just You, the Breath, and the Breakthrough

May 17, 2026

Hello Friends,

I was sitting with the script for this Tuesday’s episode, and I kept coming back to one question: How often do we abandon ourselves just to make a decision?

We’ve been taught that clarity is a mental finish line - something we reach by researching, analyzing, and looping through possibilities until we’re exhausted. We think that if we just find one more piece of information, the "maybe" will finally turn into a "yes" (or a "no").

But I’ve realized that when I try to think my way into a choice, I usually just end up in a state of mental momentum, far away from what my body actually knows. We say yes… and something inside us tightens. We say no… and something inside us second-guesses. We start to wonder if clarity is something other people just have access to.

In this Tuesday’s episode, we are beginning a brand new 3-Part Decision-Making Series. We are shifting the language from "shoulds" to "sensations." Because before language, before reasoning—your body responds. It always has.

Over the next three weeks, we are going to explore:

• Part 1: The Somatic “Yes” – Learning signal recognition and how to tell the difference between a "fear-based yes" and true, spacious expansion.

• Part 2: Thawing the Freeze – Understanding why we get stuck in "I don't know" and how to gently move the nervous system out of stagnation.

• Part 3: The Intuitive Breakthrough – Integrating these tools so you can stop needing certainty before you move and start trusting the wisdom of your own system.

A practice for your Sunday:

If you are holding a decision today, I invite you to try a "Two Path Practice" before the series even kicks off. Bring Choice A and Choice B to mind. Don't tell the "story" of why they are good or bad. Just notice:

• Step into Choice A: Notice your breath quality. Does your chest feel like it's opening, or is there a subtle pressure to decide right now?

• Step into Choice B: Notice your stomach and your shoulders. Is there a "heaviness" or a folding inward, or is there a quiet steadiness that says, “I can be here”?

A real "yes" is not loud or full of adrenaline. It is spacious. It’s the feeling of your breath dropping lower into your body.

I’m Ferryn Wynter, a yoga and breathwork guide dedicated to helping you find your resonance in a world that never stops moving. I spent years thinking that "strength" meant being unshakable and building walls to stay safe. What I found instead was that true resilience doesn’t come from being rigid - it comes from being solid enough to finally stop holding your breath. Finding that calm within the chaos is exactly what I’m here to help you do. Whether we are meeting on the mat or through the deep conversations of my podcast, my goal is simple: to create a sanctuary where you can move with the storm, rather than against it. Breathe: Just You, the Breath, and the Breakthrough July 12, 2026 Hello Friends, We often think of our inner child as a distant memory—a scrapbook of moments tucked away in the past. But if we’re honest, we know that’s not quite true. Our inner child isn’t just a memory; it is an experience we carry in the present. It’s that subtle tightness in your chest when you feel misunderstood. It’s the instinct to apologize before you’ve even done anything wrong. It’s the exhaustion that comes from...

Breathe: Just You, the Breath, and the Breakthrough July 05, 2026 Hello Friends, We are often taught that to be kind, to be accessible, or to be "good" is to be completely open. We treat our energy like a public park - always available, always accessible, and rarely closed for maintenance. But have you noticed the cost of that constant openness? When we don't have a clear boundary, our nervous system never truly goes offline. We remain in a state of low-grade vigilance, absorbing the energy...

Breathe: Just You, the Breath, and the Breakthrough June 28, 2026 Hello Friends, Last week, we explored the rhythm of our own nervous system — the truth that we are not machines meant to produce at the same pace every day. We talked about honoring our own tides, listening for what our bodies are communicating, and releasing the belief that rest is something we have to earn. But there is another place where we often lose ourselves: The space between. The moment after one thing ends, but before...
